Atelier had a line up of some very quaint music shows last year that were always beautiful, diverse -always meant to make the guests feel like they were watching it in their own space- though each time we had our patio transformed into a new yet familar and cozy setting. forever something to snack on if not something to sip- and then there's that sweet music.

Our brother graduates. done . with school. we went to his portfolio day a couple days ago . we are happy that he will have more time to help us with our website. yay! plus we are proud and love him dearly.

Okay, I'm only giving you a small sampling of Atelier's new blog (this is where i work part time as Creative/Artist Director) It's a place with 8 rooms, a side patio, and front yard sale/sun-tanning- auto repair space-rooms dedicated to the following showcases (from front to rear) Artist/Designer Co-op in the front room, followed by the Men's Rack in the hallway and back rooms, Bathroom/changing room/Artists Salon(all in one presentable package), Vintage Clothing(womens, children & lingerie) to the back right, Opaline's Closet (all fancy vintage pre-70's (lots of great 40's, 50's, 60's) thanks to Jonie's vast collection, a magical dressing room with high wall papered walls and original works of art by local artist, a $1 dollar-$5 room (the most popular room in the lower flat of this victorian shop Space- and do not forget the most stunning romantic hang out space of the side patio where we host The Wooden Showcase (season permitting, 2nd saturday events, tea parties, pickniks, and fashion shows. . a couple of belts I wouldn't mind owning- vintage and hand made (check out the carved wood buckle and intricate colorful needle point waist band above) it gives me butterflies. and long time luvr of velvety peach.

Ashely visiting from Brooklyn. Studies Art at Pratt. i see her beautiful face at least once a year and she always wears something like that peach i really love (one of my favorite colors)

Bevan adopts and displays a Naik Fur sequined head piece. I crocheted it with a 2nd hand surplus of pre-strung sequin string and made a few of these beautiful head pieces for shows. bevan imagines it hanging on her wall like an art piece , but I think it looks even more beautiful on her precious crown and almost medievial the way it drapes under framing her face.

besides Tyrus, a handfull of my lady friends, and a some few of my more effeminate male companions,---- Bevan is one of the few persons I feel comfortable about this condition I have where i seem to pour an excessive amounts of emotion and ecstatic joy over my friends.

Bevan and amy (long lost love is reunited March 0f 2009.) this girlie and I have made numerous attempt to stay in touch over the years via international snail mail, very little emailing, word of mouth and occational run ins at the food co-op, shows, or atelier. it actually blows my mind that i have yet to officially hang out with her on a day where we can actually spend more time catching up on the past 5 years of our lives.the doll- Bevan and i take turns parenting. her name is Tuesday.
i go to the shop more these days to get some creative time in, but also to socialize which is moving higher up on my list of things to do as the warmth of a new season approaches.

Tuesday wears a vintage doll gown and an unfinished vintage sock worn as hat.
